PPLC membership
The Clearwater Public Library System (CPLS) is a member of the
Pinellas Public Library Cooperative
(PPLC) and abides by PPLC
policies in addition to those listed below.
Library cards
Library cards will be issued immediately upon application with proper identification. Card holders
may apply in person for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at any CPLS library. PINs
are used to place reserves and access user records via the
Online Library Catalog.
Non-Resident cards
Fee for persons outside the PPLC taxing district is $100.00 per household.
Loan periods
The standard loan period is 28 days. The loan period is 7 days for circulating magazines (branch
libraries only), new fiction, and videos. CPLS materials may be returned to any PPLC library.
Overdue fines
$.10/day per item ($2.50 maximum per item) and $1.00/day for videos ($10 maximum per video).
Reserves
All items may be reserved except best sellers and new videos. Reserves may be placed
online,by telephone, in-person at
any Clearwater Public Library System branch, or via the
Online Library Catalog with a valid PIN number.
Renewals
Items, except DVDs, may be renewed up to 2 times if there are no requests for the item. There are no renewals on DVDs. |
