Athletics

Participants benefit from recreational activities in innumerable ways. More than just being FUN, research has proven that people live longer, healthier lives when they engage in activities outside the home.

The Parks and Recreation Athletics section provides a wide variety of enjoyable recreation activities and opportunities to the residents and visitors of Clearwater. This section is comprised of more than 30 areas of interest including aquatics, general recreation, individual sports, senior adult activities, social recreation, special events, team leagues, and youth development.

Programming varies from facility to facility, but the total delivery system is a modern comprehensive effort that offers something for everyone, as well as services to special interest groups.

The Clearwater Parks and Recreation Athletics program incorporates staff led, contractor led, upcoming and special youth sports co-sponsored group programs.
