Some of Clearwater’s largest employers include BayCare Health System, Bausch & Lomb Surgical, Lincare Holdings, Aerosonic Corporation, MarineMax, Heritage Insurance, KnowBe4 and GE Instrument Transformers, which, in 2015, completed construction of a $50 million, 190,000-square-foot expansion, and the company’s first advanced manufacturing Center of Excellence.

Nova Southeastern University’s Tampa Bay Regional Campus, which is the result of a $200 million investment in the future and features a 325,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility began classes fall semester 2019.

The campus brings several graduate and professional education opportunities to Clearwater. Located at the eastern entry to the city, the regional campus includes additional locations for NSU’s Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences, the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing. The campus is home to approximately 2,000 students enrolled in programs that include, but are not limited to: occupational and physical therapy, clinical mental health counseling, nursing, osteopathic medicine, and school psychology.
