On-the-Job Training

You Hire. You Train. CareerSource Pays.

Reimbursement of up to 50% of wages paid during the training period. Employers retain complete control of all hiring decisions, and receive recruitment and job posting services, and assistance with candidate prescreening at no cost. CLICK HERE to learn more.

Paid Work Experience

The focus of the Paid Work Experience program is hiring young adults to learn in-demand skills at no cost to employers. Reimbursement of up to 100% of wages paid throughout the training period via employer’s payroll. CLICK HERE for program details.

CareerSource Florida Programs

Florida Flex -Powered by CareerSource Florida, serves as a one-stop recruiting, hiring and training solution for newly relocated and existing Florida businesses, helping them strengthen their workforce and gain a competitive edge. The FloridaFlex suite of tools includes Quick Response Training, a customized grant program to help cover training costs for new hires, and Incumbent Worker Training, a flexible grant program to assist small businesses with employee skills upgrades.

Quick Response Training

New businesses or those relocating to or expanding in Florida may be eligible for grant dollars to help pay for training new employees. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until available funding has been awarded. The Quick Response Training program provides grant funding for customized, skills-based curriculum development and training, through partial reimbursement, to new or expanding businesses in Florida’s targeted industries (qualified targeted industries). These are high-skill industries with exportable goods or services and wages of 125 percent above state or local wages.

Incumbent Worker Training

When workers lack needed training and businesses experience skill gaps, the company’s ability to compete, expand and retain workers can be compromised. Florida’s Incumbent Worker Training program addresses such needs.

For-profit, small businesses may be eligible for a reimbursement of up to 75 percent of training costs for continuing education and training of incumbent employees at existing Florida businesses. CLICK HERE for complete program guidelines.
