What We Do

In conjunction with the City's strategic direction, Clearwater Fire & Rescue's objective is "to advocate and sustain a leading emergency service organization with a focus on quality, cost effectiveness, and all-hazard mitigation that exceeds our customer's expectation".

Fire truck from 1921 Clearwater Fire & Rescue was established as a fire department in 1897, legally established through Florida State Statute no. 144, Chapter 4658 and Clearwater City Charter. Clearwater Fire & Rescue consists of eight stations and more than 200 staff positions. As a municipal corporation, the City was chartered by the City Council as The City of Clearwater, Florida on May 31, 1916 under Ordinance No. 172.
