WHAT IS THE MEASURE?
This indicator reports on the percentage of agendas that are published at least seven calendar days prior to a scheduled public meeting.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Measuring the publication of meeting agendas in advance ensures the public has adequate time to review and participate in policy discussions. This practice promotes transparency, encourages informed civic engagement, and upholds the principles of accountability and accessibility in government decision-making.
HOW WE ARE DOING IT
The percentage of public meeting agendas published in advance is measured by comparing the published date of an agenda to the scheduled date of the corresponding public meeting, including legislative, quasi-judicial, and advisory board meetings.
