Percentage of Application Reviews Completed on Time

WHAT IS THE MEASURE?

This indicator reports on the average percentage of building permit application reviews that are completed by the target deadline.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Completing building permit application reviews by the target deadline is crucial for ensuring timely project commencement and minimizing cost escalations. This adherence to target deadlines demonstrates the city’s commitment to promoting overall community development, while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal development requirements.

HOW WE ARE DOING IT

The percentage of application reviews completed on time is calculated by the proportion of building permit reviews completed by their assigned target deadlines across each discipline, based on the permit type. These target deadlines meet or exceed the review timelines as required by Florida Statute.

Conducting inspections by the target deadline is essential for maintaining project timelines, ensuring safety and compliance, and building trust among contractors, businesses, and residents.
