McKay Park

This is a photo of the renovated McKay Park.

McKay Park is a 1.68-acre neighborhood park has served the recreational needs of Clearwater Beach's residential community for more than 40 years. Amenities include six pickleball courts, promenade lighting, landscaping, signage, benches, picnic tables, accessible sidewalks and drinking fountains.  Additionally, four shade structures have been installed within the park.

Pickleball Court Rules

Court Hours: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  1. Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, except during Open Play and permitted special events.
  2. Courts are for pickleball play only; all other activities are prohibited.
  3. Holding courts is not permitted. Players must follow designated court rotation rules during open play.
  4. Only active players are allowed inside the fence.
  5. Users may not adjust nets or mark courts with chalk or paint.
  6. Proper attire and court shoes must be worn at all times.
  7. No dogs, alcohol, glass containers, outside chairs or smoking on the courts.
  8. Hang court rollers on the fence when not in use.
  9. All athletic instruction (paid or unpaid) or special events are prohibited unless authorized by the city.

Open Play Rules

Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon

  • All games are played to 11, win by 2, or to a max of 15.
  • Doubles play is required unless courts are open.
  • Place paddles in the rack at the court of your choice to enter rotation.
  • Losing teams must exit after each game.
  • Players are limited to two consecutive games when others are waiting.
