Harbored underneath a historic oak grove, Bayview Park offers a chance to experience a Florida rarely found in this area. Inside the park, there is over a half mile of nature trail, picnic areas, a beach overlook and an abundance of native vegetation and wildlife. Few places allow you to experience so much in such a small locality and serve as an escape.
Created to protect the native landscape, Bayview has everything from native vegetation to local wildlife. A trip into Bayview Park is a trip across the Florida landscape offering samples of the various ecosystems found throughout the Sunshine State. From wetlands to a one-hundred-year-old oak forest, the dynamic landscape will keep any plant and wildlife enthusiast coming back for more.
Bayview Park would not be a reality without the support of the public and local governments. Funded by grants from the State of Florida's Communities Trust and Land Water Conservation Fund, Bayview developed into a place for recreational and educational activities. Local support from the Clearwater Historical Society and the city of Clearwater has restored the area's magnificent natural habitat.
Explore the many uses of Bayview Park. Not only is this an area for bikers and hikers, but also bird watchers, butterfly collectors and even kayakers. Educational classes will tour the park to learn about native plants and their impact on local wildlife. Bayview is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered.
Adopted by Girl Scout Troops 60901 and 60929, funded by grants from the State of Florida Community Trust and Land Water Conservation Fund and supported by the Clearwater Historical Society, Bayview Park hosts over a half mile of nature trail, picnic areas, a beach overlook and an abundance of native vegetation and wildlife. The park is harbored underneath a one hundred year old historic oak grove, is 5.5 acres large and has a host of amenities. Walk the paved walking trails to get to the beach overlook, view the butterfly gardens or take a break at the picnic area and pavilion. Bayview is sure to offer you a chance to explore a Florida rarely found in this area.
