Clearwater Awarding Funds to Non-Profits to Further Strategic Plan

The city of Clearwater is awarding funds to local non-profit/charitable organizations for activities and events that will help further the city's strategic plan and that provide economic, social, medical, cultural, or educational benefits to Clearwater residents.

Interested organizations are invited to submit a brief one-to-two-page Letter of Interest that lists the requested amount and specifies how the organization’s work or proposed activity aligns with one of these strategic priorities:

  • Economic & Housing Opportunity – foster a prosperous and enduring economy that promotes opportunity for all.
  • Community Well-Being – ensure exceptional communities and neighborhoods where everyone can thrive.
  • Environmental Stewardship – implement proactive solutions and emerging technologies for a sustainable and resilient community.

Criteria

To be eligible for funding, organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a tax exempt entity.
  • Be a non-profit organization able to provide 501(c)(3) status form.
  • Be able to provide evidence of insurance.
  • Be able to show proof of being in operation for a minimum of one year.

Timeline

Letters of Interest will be accepted through April 30, 2024.

Staff will present a prioritized list of awarded projects as part of the annual budget process on May 16, 2024. Funds will be awarded beginning Oct. 1, 2024.
