In May 2024, Clearwater Gas System (CGS) celebrated a milestone honoring its 100 years of service. Established in May 1924, CGS hosted a celebration to honor its employees and 100-year legacy, and the gas utility is proud to announce the launch of a new company logo, too.

The new logo represents the utility’s focus to grow the gas business even further by increasing natural gas usage, expanding market share, and developing new gas markets in Pinellas and Pasco counties.

“Clearwater Gas System’s mission has always been to provide safe, reliable and affordable gas energy to all customers and the community,” said Executive Director Brian Langille. “We look forward to continuing that mission for many more years to come. Our logo has remained the same for more than 25 years, so it is time for a major refresh to celebrate the path forward for Clearwater Gas System.”

In honor of this significant milestone, CGS has posted a “100 Years Strong and Still Growing” Anniversary video on the gas website, ClearwaterGas.com, and will continue hosting various special promotional events throughout the year in celebration of CGS’s 100 years of service. Plans are underway to update CGS vehicles with the new logo in the months ahead.

Clearwater Gas System serves more than 31,000 natural gas customers in Clearwater and 19 surrounding municipalities in Pinellas and Pasco counties. Clearwater Gas System is the fourth largest municipal gas system in Florida and ranks 29th out of nearly 1,000 public gas systems in the United States.
