The city of Clearwater introduces a Pay-by-Text service when beach and downtown visitors pay for their parking session. This new service makes it easier for people to pay for their parking directly from their phones, without the need for an account or app.

How Pay by Text Works:

  • Park your vehicle.
  • Text ‘CLEARWATER’ to 727563
  • Receive a secure link to input your parking details, including license plate number, duration, and payment information.
  • Confirm the details to start your parking session.

“We are very excited about the launch of the Pay by Text service, just in time for visitors coming in for Spring Break,” said Clearwater Parking Manager Jeremy Alleshouse. “This feature gives our residents and visitors even more convenience when they park in our bright and beautiful city.”

The Pay-by-Text solution is PCI-DSS certified, ensuring the protection of motorists’ data. After completing the parking session, payment information is encrypted, with the option for future convenience by storing the card number on the mobile device.

By implementing modernized parking solutions, including Pay by Text, the city aims to make paying for parking in Clearwater more convenient, especially during peak periods, reducing the likelihood of citations. If visitors prefer to pay for parking in more traditional ways, they can continue to use parking kiosks, ParkMobile, and the Flowbird mobile app.

Pay by Text is now live throughout Clearwater’s beach and downtown areas, offering a seamless parking experience for residents and visitors alike.
