The Clearwater Solid Waste/Recycling Department helps keep the city bright and beautiful. This team is responsible for garbage removal for residential and commercial customers.

Garbage is collected once a week for single-family residences. Collection schedules vary for commercial and multifamily customers. The city provides residential garbage collection, commercial collection and private hauler permits. Look up our holiday collection schedule, and find out what to do with your electronics. What To Do With Electronic Waste

As of October 2022, Pinellas County and the city of Clearwater no longer send electronics to a private recycler. The city also discontinued its electronic waste collection events. Place electronics in your trash can instead (not on the ground).

How to Dispose of Large, Bulky Items

Have something too large to fit in your trash can? Set furniture and other large items at the curb on your regular collection day, and our crews will pick it up.
