Visit the Beach
Spring Break Is Here!
Clearwater Beach’s recovery is bright and beautiful! Our beach is open and ready to host guests again for the first spring break after back-to-back hurricanes last fall. Most of the beach’s restaurants, hotels, and businesses have recovered and have reopened. Clearwater is excited to welcome back visitors, families and spring training baseball fans who come to our family-friendly destination for fun in the sun.
Clearwater Beach is at the west end of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, or State Road 60. Sugar-white sands, warm Gulf of Mexico waters and fiery sunsets are just a few of the things to expect from a trip to Clearwater Beach.
Ways To and From Clearwater Beach
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority offers three great new transportation options for people to get to and from Clearwater Beach.
Take the FREE PSTA Park and Ride: March 2 to May 3
The city of Clearwater has once again teamed up with PSTA to make your trip to Clearwater Beach easier during spring break (and free!). Park & Ride offers beach visitors a place to park in a free designated lot, and then ride the trolley to the beach for no cost. Trolley Park & Ride service runs:
- Monday through Thursday, every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday to Sunday, every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and until 10 p.m. on Sundays
Park for free at the former Clearwater City Hall location, 112 S. Osceola Ave., and board for free there, at the Clearwater Beach Transit Center or the Clearwater Beach Marina. Return service to the parking lot boards at the Clearwater Beach Marina. This service began March 2, and runs through May 3.

What To Do While Visiting
Start your day off early, park at one of the public parking lots or privately-owned garages and parking lots. Public beach entrances are located throughout the beach starting at South Gulfview Boulevard near Opal Sands and ending at Eldorado Avenue right before Carlouel Yacht Club. To ensure a safe and clean experience for visitors, the beach is monitored by lifeguards year round and cleaned and raked every day by city staff.
Clearwater Beach is very walkable with ample restaurants and shops in close proximity. Beach Walk is located to the south of Pier 60 and is a winding beachside promenade with lush landscaping, artistic touches and clear views of the beach,
Clearwater is home to a large array of dining options and culinary experiences, but is most well known for its fresh selection of Gulf Coast seafood, especially the grouper sandwich, a local favorite.
The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down! After you've soaked up the sunshine and watched the sunset, watch street performers and shop local vendors at the Sunsets at Pier 60 Park Nightly Celebration, go on one of the Clearwater Beach Marina's scenic dinner cruises or listen to live music at one of the many Clearwater hotels and restaurants.
